Application Form

 ROUND ONE - Recorded

  1. Applicants must submit a complete piano piece, either a concerto or comparable work, recorded on Compact Disc (CD).

    a) The CD recording must have a separate track for each movement
     
    b) The entire piece must be accompanied by orchestra or by piano throughout. (That is, if one track has orchestra accompaniment, orchestra accompaniment must be used on all subsequent tracks.)
     
    c) The piece must be at least fifteen minutes in duration and it must be one for which orchestral parts are generally available. 
    Send the recording with the application form to the Jefferson Symphony office postmarked by September 30, 2008. A $50 non-refundable processing fee must be included with the application. Recordings will not be returned.

  2. All CDs postmarked by September 30, 2008, will be reviewed and judged. No late entries will be accepted.
     
  3. Three judges will select 12 finalists and will also rank six alternates. Applicants will be notified of the results by October 20, 2008. Decisions of the judges are final.
